Jan Rufus is a filmmaker and visual artist based in London. Her films are primarily focused on the human condition, connectivity and identity. Jan’s passion is to create films that challenge and break down stereotypes whilst giving people from under-represented communities, groups and subcultures a voice to tell their stories. Jan’s films have been screened in a number of film festivals in the UK and abroad.

Jan Rufus is a filmmaker and visual artist based in London. Her films are primarily focused on the human condition, connectivity and identity. Jan’s passion is to create films that challenge and break down stereotypes whilst giving people from under-represented communities, groups and subcultures a voice to tell their stories. Jan’s films have been screened in a number of film festivals in the UK and abroad.

 Jan’s background is in Multimedia Design. Her video work is interdisciplinary and utilizes animation, motion graphics, film, photography, gamification and interactive design. Over the last 9 years’ she has worked within video production, creating multimedia, immersive video-based solutions and experiences. And has won an award for an interactive live-action game, winning gold in the category of ‘Excellence in the Design of Learning Content’.  Jan has created and developed engaging films, motion graphics and animations for large global corporations, such as KPMG, HSBC & the Project Management Institute.
